BroBot 2.7.0 released

BroBot 2.7.0, released on 30 October 2026, brings a smoother elevator door approach and boarding, a greeting on arrival, bounded docking retries and a self-recovering face camera.

We released BroBot 2.7.0 on 30 October 2026. It brings four changes: a smoother approach to the elevator door and boarding, a greeting the moment a visitor arrives, a limited number of retries when the charging station is blocked, and a face camera that recovers by itself.

BroBot calls the elevator, boards, turns around in the car and gets off at the destination floor. With 2.7.0, the approach to the elevator door and the boarding are smoother.

BroBot notices visitors as they arrive and greets each person once. With 2.7.0, the greeting comes the moment the visitor arrives.

BroBot returns to its charging station on its own. If the way to the station is blocked, for example by something left in front of it, the robot now retries docking a limited number of times. A temporary obstacle no longer ends the return at the first attempt, and the limit keeps the robot from repeating the attempt indefinitely.

The face camera lets BroBot recognise staff who have opted in, by name and title; recognition runs on the robot's own GPU. With 2.7.0, the camera recovers by itself after a fault, without anyone having to restart it.

From 20 to 30 October 2026 we published a new BroBot release on ten of the eleven days. Releases reach robots over the air through BroBot Cloud and can be rolled back when needed. Every change passes automated tests and simulation before it reaches a robot.
